About me
Charlotte Ashworth is Global Co-Head of Corporate at Mercier & Valez. She advises listed companies, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on public takeovers, private acquisitions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on transactions that span the UK, Germany and the US.
Charlotte has led the firm's investment in its cross-border M&A capability, building a practice around integrated deal teams rather than individual stars. She sits on the firm's Partnership Board and chairs its lateral hiring committee. Clients value her calm judgement on contested situations and her ability to assemble the right team quickly.
Outside the office she races a Sigma 38 at Cowes Week each summer.
Selected experience: - Advised a FTSE 250 engineering group on its recommended cash offer by a US strategic buyer. - Advised a German family office on a joint venture with a UK infrastructure fund. - Led the M&V team advising a pan-European sponsor on a three-jurisdiction buy-and-build programme.
