Eleanor studied Law at the University of Cambridge (Pembroke College), graduating with a First in 2003. She went on to complete her LPC at the College of Law in London before qualifying as a solicitor in 2005. Over the past two decades, Eleanor has built a reputation as one of England's leading environmental law practitioners, advising major infrastructure developers, local authorities, and environmental NGOs on planning permissions, environmental impact assessments, and climate-related litigation. At Mercier & Valez, she leads the firm's Environmental & Planning division and sits on the firm's partnership board. She is a member of the Law Society's Environment, Planning and Property Law Committee and is regularly instructed on high-profile judicial review cases involving green belt development and net zero compliance.
